Worship & Bible Study at Living Light
You’re invited to join us for worship on Sunday or for Bible study throughout the week.
To help you feel comfortable in your visit we thought we’d share a little more about what you can expect.

Frequently Asked Questions
A few more things you might be wondering about…
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you don’t quite find the answer you’re looking for here.
Is your church building wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Although it’s not a big elevator, we do have one fully functioning on the south side of our building, accessible from an exterior door off the parking lot. It provides access to all levels inside the building.
Is there parking available at your church building?
Yes, but only a very limited few, reserved for those needing special accessibility. There is a municipal parking lot across the street where many members park.
Do you have babysit services at your church?
Yes, our babysit service operates during both morning and afternoon worship services. It is staffed by a list of volunteers at the appropriate ratio of adults to children. Parents who leave their children in the nursery are provided a notification device that allows babysitters to summon parents as needed.
What should I wear to worship?
We encourage clothing that is clean and well-kept, modest and respectful, and not overly revealing or distracting to others. If you feel that your best clothes are still not good enough, rest assured that no one is good enough on their own to be in the presence of God, and no one will be turned away from worship because of their clothing.
What happens when I get there on Sunday?
You will be welcomed by our team of ushers. If you need any assistance in finding your way around the building, such as finding the nursery if you have children, or familiarizing yourself with our order of worship, they will do their best to assist you.
What kind of music is included in your worship service?
An important part of our weekly worship is congregational singing. For that we have adopted a Book of Praise, composed of the 150 Psalms and a selection of hymns, both ancient and more contemporary. The singing is typically accompanied by organ or piano and, on occasion, other instruments.
What parts of your worship service ask for audience participation?
Every part! But that’s probably not really what you’re asking. While listening is certainly participation, the audience recites a confession of dependence, sings and gives a monetary offering to the deacons which they distribute to those in need.
Does your church have a Safe Church or Abuse Prevention Policy?
Yes. It is a comprehensive policy that includes police and vulnerable sector checks for any who hold a position of leadership or who interact especially with the children in the church. It also includes two-person policies, reporting and consent requirements, monitoring & safety checks during events and much more.
Bible Study Groups
Study the Bible with us.
As a church, we love to worship beyond Sunday. Throughout the week we study God’s Word and apply it to our lives so that it might continue to shape our hearts and guide our steps. You’re invited to learn more about God with us.
Small Groups
There are currently 9 small groups, each with 9 – 10 participants. Individual groups schedule their own meeting time and discussion topics. Participants can be assigned by coordinators or invited by individual participants.
Men’s/Women’s Bible Study
Thursday morning’s a group of women meet at the church to study together. This morning meeting caters various age groups and specifically accommodates mothers with young children. A group of men meet Thursday evenings, also to study together.
Prayer Group
A Monday evening prayer group offers members a chance to deepen their understanding and practice of prayer while spending dedicated time together in prayer.
How People Change
This course, based on the book by Paul Tripp and Tim Lane, equips people with an understanding of biblical change and its application in their lives.
