What we believe

We believe we are saved by grace to love and know God and love and serve others (1 Cor 13)

We believe God created us in his image. He created us for relationship with himself but we rejected him and fell into sin. We are separated from God and struggle in our relationships with each other. Because of our sin we are in need of forgiveness. In his mercy and grace, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die for our sins. Through faith, his perfect life and sacrifice is given to us so we can share in his righteousness and be restored to a relationship with God. We can know God today and we are promised both the ability to live in peace with others and a perfect life with him for eternity.

As a church, we hold to these five principles:

By Scripture Alone – The Bible is God’s inspired and infallible Word and guides our lives and everything we do as a church. All our beliefs and teachings come from the Bible. Through it, we come to know God and his plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

By Faith Alone – We cannot earn our own salvation. It is a gift from God that we receive when we put our faith in Christ.

By Grace Alone – Our salvation was secured by Jesus Christ. On our own, we cannot win any favour with God through our works, it is given to us only because of his grace and love.

Through Christ Alone – Jesus is the only mediator between God and man and he alone is the way to our salvation.

Glory to God Alone – We worship God above all other persons and traditions. He rules over all creation and he alone is worthy of our praise and glory.
